Many times already, these images have taken me far, far away... I have seen their landscapes, met their characters. Because it is good to blend into the decor they open up to you, because the sky is blue (you can see it), the air is fresh (you can feel it), and the cars and women are beautiful. Because, if I could be a character on paper, I would like to live there. For all these reasons and because I found exactly this reassuring and poetic atmosphere on the canvases of Pierre Barraya, I wanted this personal, and eminently subjective, tribute to him. For all these dreams, all this freshness, bravo and thank you to the artist.

Brief biography

Born in Nice in 1938. Lives in Paris. For around thirty years, he devoted himself entirely to painting, with a long and highly notable period in advertising.

ADVERTISING ILLUSTRATIONS

1979-96 Production of advertising illustrations in collaboration with most French advertising agencies. Produced campaigns for Pirelli, Peugeot, Renault, Rolls-Royce, Velux, Lancôme, Télécom, etc. His posters have been seen around the world. 1st and 2nd Silver Marker Prize Mecanorma, Paris. President-Founder of the association "Artistes en direct".
